Hey

In this short article, I would like to share with you 10 short tips from my perspective as a photographer that can make your wedding day more beautiful.

Rest

At least a half-day of rest, the day before your wedding day, is more than adequate for the perfect experience of your big day.

Wedding preparations

When preparing (combing, applying makeup), it is better to wear clothes that can be buttoned up (blouse, satin bathrobe). Not only will you feel more comfortable while preparing and you won't damage your hair and makeup when changing clothes later. Your photos will also look better.

Make up

It is advisable to bring lip balm/lipstick and also powder/make-up with you for a portrait shoot. It may happen that in some poses you rub against each other and your make-up gets damaged. 99% of the time this will not happen, but for safety and your comfort during the shoot I recommend taking them with you.

Delay

A 15-20 minute delay in the morning hours of every wedding day is standard. So please don't look at your watch and enjoy the peaceful morning of your wedding day.

Wedding bouquet

Please hand the bouquet to the witness before exchanging rings during the wedding ceremony. It is possible that the bouquet will cover your hands during the ring exchange and I will not be able to capture this precious detail.

Food and water :)

Please remember to eat and drink on your wedding day. It may sound like a silly suggestion, but most newlyweds eat their first meal of the day after 5pm. This can affect your energy and overall enjoyment of your big day.

First dance

Don't stress about your first dance. Almost every couple has a little stress about their first dance, and every one of them has it unnecessarily. It's your first role at the wedding reception under the watchful eye of every eye in the hall. However, your energy and your smile are what will make all the guests stand up and applaud after your dance, not the choreography.

Wedding guests

Guests have a subconscious tendency to copy the behavior of the bride and groom during the wedding reception, so there may be moments when you are the one to open the dance floor or "herd" guests from the terrace back into the hall.

Shoes

If you plan to take photos in difficult terrain, it would be better to wear comfortable shoes.

Guests with phones

I consider guests with cameras and cell phones to be part of a modern wedding. I sometimes use cell phone shots in my photos. The problem arises when your guest's cell phone appears in my shot at unique moments, such as during the wedding ceremony. It is best to ask your guests to experience the ceremony with you and put their smartphones away for later.
